We have been attempting to tube wean at home and have been pretty successful. We decided to put Cincinnati Children's Hospital on hold and go to the beach! Mary Farris has been fighting croup for a few weeks but was doing great so we hit the road. Not long after arriving, she got pretty sick again. We tried to get into a few walk in clinics since the pediatrician offered no help, but were turned away due to insurance. We ended up in the Pediatric ER in Fort Walton. It was awesome. The doctor actually asked us if she had choanal atresia. Wow. She had a terrible sinus infection and was having drainage in her throat causing her to make a gurgling sound when she was asleep. Got some prescription nasal spray and some antibiotics. She never slowed down. We spent most of our days on the beach and we visited the Gulfarium. The dolphins and sea lions were amazing. When we pulled out she said, "I had a great time!" We were thinking the same thing~
