We are making progress! Mary Farris starts feeding therapy on Monday. The therapist sounds very positive and has lots of ideas to get our little girl to eat.
Thanksgiving meant a lot to us yesterday, we are so thankful for our baby girl, friends, and family. Mary Farris said she was thankful for the sweet potatoes! We are trying to let her taste lots of things (even though she cant eat solids yet) so that she will learn that eating is not a bad thing. She also likes to lick suckers, chocolate chip cookies and donuts!
Tenncare approved for us to have a nurse come to our home for 8 hours/day Mon-Fri. I have talked with the nurse and she sounds great. She will come this afternoon to get acquainted. I am going to be with her for a few weeks until she is comfortable (ok, until I am comfortable!) and then I'm going back to work. We have many appointments this week, therapy, pediatrician, surgeon, early intervention... Whew! We will keep you guys updated.

Woo hoo, supermom & superdad have made a spanky blog for their lil girl complete with slideshow, video, and colored text! Show us how it is done! ;) xx oo Anneliese
What a beautiful little girl! How
fortunate you are to have her home.
My daughter was born at 23 weeks and has very similar issues to Mary Farris. Being a preemie mom is so hard but truly a gift. You are very lucky to have in home nursing care. I wish Pennsylvania offered that. I had to get a Nanny with medical and preemie experience and it is so expensive. Well congrats on having you little baby girl home. The NICU is great but there is no place like home for our babies.

Wow, Kim, I really like this blog. I wanted to tell our Masters student at church, who is from Ghana, W. Africa to try to get on Carebridge, but thought it was too much for me to do! LOL Now I can give him your blogspot and he can go and look. They have a baby about 2 weeks older than Mary Farris.
Looks like things are going good for you all. Of course, I get a first hand report from Judy every Saturday.
Love, Barbara
